DR/BC Program Benchmarking is intended to provide: 1) an expert assessment of your current DR/BC recovery methodology and approach along with recommendations to raise it to ‘best of class’ status 2) recommendations of “quick hits” that could reduce risks, eliminate single points of failure and increase overall recoverability in the short term 3) recommendations of planning areas or techniques which could further mitigate exposures, improve resiliency and/or minimize program overhead and maintenance, 4) best practice approaches and guidelines for how to improve and streamline your recovery program and 5) hands-on, expert consulting assistance for implementation of the recommended recovery capability (optional).
Your program will be benchmarked against our own NextGen methodology, which we consider to be the most advanced and aggressive in the industry. It will also be benchmarked against “industry standards” ISO 22301, ISO (BSI) 25999, NFPA 1600, NIST SP800-34, DRI Professional Practices and WTG’s NextGen 360° Advanced Business Continuity™.
This analysis will clearly indicate whether your recovery/continuity planning efforts adequately support your stated recovery objectives. Over 700 individual aspects of recoverability are evaluated ranging from disaster assessment procedures to alternate site applicability to post-disaster normalization. WTG’s consultants will review your entire recovery/continuity capability including: plan documents; recovery hardware, software and communications infrastructure; recovery timeframes; data availability; application system synchronization and preparedness; alternate site applicability; and testing and maintenance programs. The resulting data will be objectively analyzed by our proprietary benchmarking tool model and reported in terms of program success factors, industry benchmark practices and overall program maturity.
