Outsourcing agreements are usually very aggressively priced, often in a relatively short timeframe between yet-to-be-comfortable future partners. The unfortunate result is that disaster recovery and business continuity is often an afterthought, or at least a relatively low priority. To further complicate the issue, few outsourcers are as receptive to building-in resiliency by distributing their clients’ processing across multiple data centers as they should be. Capacity planning concerns, pricing models, hardware availability and too often, lack of expertise all contribute to a less than optimal recovery capability in all critical areas—price/performance, operational effectiveness, implementation speed and subject matter expertise.
WTG will perform a comprehensive review of all aspects of the outsourcer-client DR/BC relationship. This assessment will illustrate the completeness of DR/BC methodology and how effectively the actual methodology supports the client’s DR/BC needs.
